Wasdale Hall Ghost Hunting and Development Weekend

Although this event is sold out please still give use a call in case we have any cancellations on 01457 877008, office hours 10am until 9pm 7 days a week...

Mysteria Paranormal Events have organised a ghost hunting and development weekend at YHA Wasdale Hall in the tranquil surroundings of the Lake District National Park.  Don't be fooled though, you are not here just for a peaceful weekend...  Wasdale Hall is locally renowned for being very haunted and therefore ideal for a weekend of development. To test your nerve and your new found skills we have arranged for a haunted painting "The Anguished Man" to be part of the ghost hunting vigils.  The present owner claims that he never believed in the supernatural until now.  He has received a lot of offers from people wishing to buy the painting but he doesn't want to sell it, he only wants to find out what is going on. Join us if you dare... All your meals are inclusive on this event.

Whenever Mysteria Paranormal Events organise development weekends we like to use historical haunted buildings in beautiful surroundings at affordable prices. With this in mind we have chosen Wasdale Hall, a stunning half-timbered building with grounds that run down to the edge of Wastwater Lake, offering stunning views of England’s deepest Lake and the surrounding Cumbrian Mountains.

Wastwater LakeIf that’s not all, and you are a keen ghost hunter who wants to develop your psychic skills and abilities you will be pleased to hear that this venue has never been investigated before.  This National Trust owned house dating back to 1829 is now a Youth Hostel and is locally renowned for being very haunted.  Visitors and staff alike have many ghostly tales to tell, here are just some of the recorded incidents...

The cellar to the building is used as a recreation area where residents can enjoy a game of table tennis.  Two of the residents who were down in the cellar on their own came running up stairs shaking reporting of a man sitting in the corner of the cellar watching them.

Several people have been known to leave one of ground floor rooms, complaining that the room felt very oppressive and uncomfortable to stay in, they too believed that there is something strange going on...

Some residents staying at the hostel reported to the staff the next morning that they were kept awake all night by the sounds of a grieving woman crying for her child.

Another night a man staying at the hostel was in bed trying to get some sleep.  The light was off in the dorm and he heard someone come into the room, he heard footsteps and then bedclothes being moved.  Not wanting to disturb the person he said nothing and fell asleep, the next day he woke up to find there was nobody in the room. Curious he went down stairs to chat to one of the staff and was startled to be informed that he was the only guest on the premises that night.

"The Anguished Man"

To make your event more exciting we have arranged for a haunted painting to be part of the ghost hunting vigils. The painting was handed down to the owner by his grandmother who believed the painting to be very haunted.  The present owner claims that he never believed in the supernatural until now.  He has received a lot of offers from people wishing to buy the painting but he doesn’t want to sell it, he only wants to find out what is going on.  The owner claims that the following footage was filmed when the camcorder was setup in the spare bedroom between the hours of 1am and 5am for five consecutive nights.

Sunday, we have a late checkout at 12noon, after a full and enjoyable weekend you will enjoy a full English breakfast before we wish you a fond farewell from the Mysteria team...
