castle and the town of Tonbridge is known to be very haunted, the castle has been laid siege on several
occasions, witnessed horrific torture and public execution. More recent the ghost of Elizabeth Lewis is said
to haunt the castle grounds. In 1982 she lost her collie dog, which fell down a deep hole in the castle
grounds whilst chasing a butterfly. Unfortunately Elizabeth fell in the hole too when she made a vain attempt
